It's hard to take a bad photo of 'Forestlake Ragamuffin' because this daylily always looks perfect. Not only is it a strikingly beautiful plant, but it's really famous! This guy is the granddaddy of teeth edges in daylilies. To date, Forestlake Ragamuffin has 241 children on the records! It's been heavily hybridized to pass on its genetics. Many of its offspring are noteworthy daylilies with teeth edges, as well. They include 'Bass Gibson,' 'Buzz Saw,' 'Heavenly Pink Fang,' 'Heman,' 'I Wanna Piranha,' 'Malcolm David Brooker, Senior,' 'Puffer Fish,' 'Swimming with Sharks,' and 'Venus Flytrap' just to name a few.

Hybridized in 1993 by Fran Harding, Forestlake Ragamuffin is a dormant tetraploid that grows wonderfully in Wisconsin. It always looks great in any type of weather and holds up well on those humid 90+ degree days . Ragamuffin grows 28 inches tall in my garden with 5.5 to 6-inch blooms. Last summer it bloomed from July 13 through August 17.  In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this daylily in a northern climate.
